Answers to common questions about FamilyCareConductor.
Getting Started
How do I create an account?
Go to familycareconductor.com and click "Start Free Trial." You will set up an account, create a care profile for the person receiving care, and add a payment method. Your 14-day free trial starts before monthly billing begins.
What is a Care Recipient?
The Care Recipient is the person being cared for, typically an aging parent or another dependent adult. Care logs, medications, appointments, caregiver records, and notes are organized around their profile.
Do I need legal authority to set up an account for someone else?
By creating a care profile for another person, you are representing that you have their consent or legal authority, such as a healthcare power of attorney or guardianship, to record and share their information. If you are unsure about your legal standing, consult an attorney before proceeding.
Care Teams
Who can I invite to the care plan?
You can invite family members who want to stay informed or contribute to care logs, and caregivers who provide direct care and may need to clock in, clock out, or log activities. Family members and caregivers are free. Only the administrator pays the monthly subscription.
Can caregivers clock in and out through the app?
Yes. Paid caregivers can log shifts directly in the app. If location-based clock-in is enabled, the app records approximate location at clock-in and clock-out to help verify presence at the care address. Caregivers must give explicit consent before this feature is active.
Can I track multiple caregivers?
Yes. You can add as many caregivers as needed at no additional cost.
Is FamilyCareConductor a payroll or staffing service?
No. FamilyCareConductor tracks shifts and creates pay records, but it is not a payroll provider, employer of record, staffing agency, or tax advisor. You remain responsible for caregiver employment compliance, taxes, workers compensation, and pay disputes.
Health And Medical Information
Who can see medications and doctor appointments?
By default, sensitive health information is restricted. The administrator grants each caregiver or family member permission to view medications, appointments, and related health records. It is not automatically visible to everyone on the care plan.
Is FamilyCareConductor a medical app?
No. FamilyCareConductor is a coordination and recordkeeping tool. It does not provide medical advice, diagnoses, or treatment recommendations. Always consult a licensed medical professional for medical decisions. In an emergency, call 911.
Billing And Subscription
How much does it cost?
FamilyCareConductor is $50 per month for one Care Recipient. Family member and caregiver users are included at no additional cost. Additional care-recipient support is planned for Phase 2 and will be priced separately before launch.
Can I cancel?
Yes, anytime. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you will not be charged for the next month.
Do you offer refunds?
We do not offer pro-rated refunds for partial months, except where required by law. If you have a billing concern, contact support@familycareconductor.com.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept major credit and debit cards through Stripe. FamilyCareConductor does not store your card details. Stripe handles payment processing securely.
